Batal Nonton JakJazz

Lagi melamun bisa nonton JakJazz, tak dinyana seorang teman menawarkan tiket gratis! Kata peribahasa lama: pucuk dicinta ulam pun pengen nonton.

Hari pertama ada Kyoto Jazz Massive, Kunokini, Ray Harris and The Fusion Experience, Heaven on Earth, Tompi, Iga Mawarni, Indra Lesmana dll. Hari kedua, ada Open Hands, Twenty First Night, Barry Likumahuwa Project, Ireng Maulana, Galaxy Big Band, dll. Hari ketiga aku bisa nonton Yellow Jackets, Tohpati, Syaharani & The Queen Fireworks dll.

Seperti biasa..

Why Worry

This is the second collaboration of Tata & Bape. Similar composition (only guitar and vocal), same process, but different song. Now we sing Why Worry from Dire Strait. Enjoy listening!

Why Worry
Dire Straits

Baby I see this world has made you sad
Some people can be bad
It seems they do the things they say

But Baby I'll wipe away those bitter tears
I'll chase away those restless fears
That turn your blue skies into grey

Why worry, there should be laughter after pain
there should be sunshine after rain
These things have always been the same
So why worry now, why worry now

Baby, when I get down I turn to you
And you make sense of what I do
I know it isn't hard to say

But baby, just when this world seems mean and cold
Our love come shining red and gold
And all the rest is by the way

Why worry, there should be laughter after pain
there should be sunshine after rain
These things have always been the same
So why worry now, why worry now

Here, There, and Everywhere

Technology makes life easier. Nobody in the past thought that two people separated about 100 Km away could produce musical performance together, without having to meet each other physically. And now everything seems to be possible.

This composition was created in two different places. Bape, a friend of mine, played and recorded his guitar into MP3 format, then sent me the file using email. And what I do, is adding my own voice on that track so that the composition has now guitar and vocal.

The hurdle, obstacle, or whatever you call them, for me is to upload the combined file to my blog/podcast. It's not a big file actually, but it'll be a boring and time-consuming upload when you do that using dial-up connection, especially when you do that here in Indonesia.

But, the show must go on! I finally have the file uploaded. The song is originally written by Lennon/McCartney and now presented to you by Tata and Bape.

If you think you enjoy listening the song, just write a word or two. That would be my great pleasure to know that there's someone out there who likes the things we've done.

Here's the lyrics:

To lead a better life
I need my love to be here

Here, making each day of the year
Changing my life with a wave of her hand
Nobody can deny that there's something there

There, running my hands through her hair
Both of us thinking how good it can be
Someone is speaking, but she doesn't know he's there

I want her everywhere
And if she's beside me I know I need never care
But to love her is to need her everywhere,
knowing that love is to share
Each on believing that love never dies
Watching her eyes and hoping I'm always there

To be there, and everywhere
Here, there and everywhere
